Gap Continuation After First Pullback

Entry Logic

  • Exact Entry Trigger: A stock gaps up, makes a strong initial move, and then has its first pullback. Enter long on the break of the high of the pullback.
  • Confirmation Requirements: The pullback should be on low volume. The stock should be in a strong uptrend.
  • Timeframe Required: 5-minute chart.
  • Location Context: The entry occurs after the first wave of profit-taking.
  • Market Condition Requirement: A strong trending market.

Exit Logic

  • Profit Target(s): Target 1R and 2R.
  • Scaling Out Rules: Scale out at each target.
